Privacy Policy

How REVELATIS ECHO S.R.L. handles personal data collected through the seid.ro website, the SEID mobile app and the operator console.

1. Who we are

The seid.ro website, the operator console at app.seid.ro and the SEID mobile app are operated by REVELATIS ECHO S.R.L., a company registered in Romania, with its registered office at Str. Clopotari nr. 24, bl. 606, sc. B, et. 1, ap. 1, Iași, Iași County, unique registration code 40125216, trade register number J2018003012225.

For the purposes of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), REVELATIS ECHO S.R.L. is the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at office@seid.ro or on +40 746 617 863.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what the service needs to work. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

2.1. The contact form on seid.ro

When you submit the contact form you send us your name, email address and phone number, and optionally your organisation and your message. We use them solely to reply to you.

To block automated submissions we use Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot check that verifies the request came from a person. For this purpose Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical information about your browser. We also hold your IP address briefly for submission rate limiting, as protection against abuse.

The website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

2.2. The SEID mobile app

The app is for residents who hold a selective-collection contract with a waste operator. Accounts are created by that operator, not from inside the app — there is no public sign-up.

Your location never leaves your phone. It is read only while the app is open, only with your permission, and is used locally to sort stations by distance. We neither transmit nor store it. If you decline the permission the app works normally, without distance sorting.

Sign-in credentials are stored encrypted on the device (Keychain on iOS, the equivalent on Android).

The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not track your activity across other apps or websites.

2.3. The operator console (app.seid.ro)

This is for employees of waste operators and municipalities only. Account details (name, email, role, the operator they belong to) are managed by that organisation.

2.4. Resident data provided by the operator

The waste operator you hold a contract with sends us the data needed to issue the contract and its barcode: name, email, phone and the service address. For that data the operator determines the purpose of processing and we act as the system provider.

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to run the app, your account and the deposit record.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — security, abuse prevention, and replying to messages you send us.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — retention of accounting and tax records.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We disclose it only to:

  • the waste operator you hold a contract with, to administer the service;
  • technical service providers acting as processors: Cloudflare (anti-bot protection for the form) and the provider of the infrastructure our servers run on;
  • authorities, where the law requires it.

We contractually require these providers to protect the data at a level at least equal to the one described here.

5. How long we keep data

  • Contact form messages: 2 years from the last correspondence.
  • Account data and deposit history: for the duration of the contract with the operator, plus the period required by accounting law.
  • Notification tokens: until the app is uninstalled or the account is deleted.
  • IP addresses used for rate limiting: 24 hours at most.

6. Where data is stored

Data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Should a transfer outside the European Economic Area ever become necessary, we will carry it out only with the safeguards required by Chapter V of the GDPR.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests.

You can exercise any of these by writing to office@seid.ro. We reply within 30 days at the latest. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the account data and notification tokens; we may keep deposit records in anonymised form for statistics, and any documents the law requires us to archive.

If you hold a contract with a waste operator, we recommend sending your request to them as well, since your account is administered by that operator.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Bucharest — dataprotection.ro.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are stored only as hashes. Access to production data is limited to people who need it. Communication with the collection stations runs over authenticated, encrypted channels.

9. Children

Our app and services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. For significant changes we will notify users by email or with an in-app message.
